Only a ‘fool’ wouldn’t enjoy the benefits of this quaint little haven. Alison and Robbie, the owners, have embraced this cottages somewhat sad history, remembering the two children who were orphaned as a result of the titanic tragedy. However, the cottage not only has little glimpses of titanic memorabilia but absolutely everything you could ever need: umbrellas, shopping bags, train timetables you name it, this cottage has it!The rooms are scrupulously clean and comfortable. Each bed is quite simply like sleeping on air. The living room is both traditional yet cosy. My favourite room was the bathroom, as it came with a beautiful big bath on legs; which I have always wanted to try out. I loved every bath I had in it!The garden is a lovely place to relax in complete with a patio area and a puffin’s perch playhouse for the children. Betty’s bothy is an ingenuous idea for a place to bbq in whatever the weather. Inside the faux fur rugs, and large comfy pillows make this the perfect place to chill out in.Last but not least, I wish to thank Alison and Robbie. Two very kind people who made Simon and I both feel very welcome. Nothing was a bother to them, and this haven they have created is one of the best around, and certainly worth a visit. I for one, hope to be back soon! Lucy Gault
