I rented this cottage to bring my family on our planned visit to Ireland – two adults and two teenagers with autism. Unfortunately, at the last minute, only my son and I were able to make it over to Ireland for his 21st Birthday. The cottage was great – clean, charming, historic and plenty of room even had all four of us made it over to Ireland! The owners, Robbie and Alison Brennen, were friendly and very helpful! Tasty treats and food staples awaited us on our arrival – such a lovely welcome! Alison was there to great us and to answer the many questions we had about the town and sightseeing in the North. The location was also excellent – the town of Carrickfergus is lovely and just a quick train ride from Dublin. We didn’t have, nor did we need, a car for this visit! Thank you again, Alison and Robbie, for your wonderful hospitality! We will be back… ๐

Hi and thank you for reviewing our Cottage and being so comprehensive. We enjoyed having you both as neighbours and hope you can return, as a family of 4, another time. It is important for perspective guests to read it is not necessary to have a car for their stay. Visits to Belfast and beyond can be made by train and/or bus. And we have a link with a local Coach Company, that with prior arrangement, they will pick up guests for a tour of the Antrim Coastal Route. Best Wishes, Alison & Robbie.
